March 2012
March is the month not rich on ATP-class events, yet the two tournaments that did take place were of the 1000 Masters level and had multi-million-dollar prize funds. During the month we placed bets on both the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, US, and Sony Ericsson Open in Miami. In the month of March we placed 14 bets, of which 13 (92%) were correct and one match was cancelled. Given a constant bet, this is equivalent to an increase of 2.53 times the bet amount.
December 2011
December is the time when the “big guys” are on a vacation: no ATP World Tour events take place during this month. However, we’ve still found certain interesting plays among the challenger and qualifier class tournaments, specifically the ones taking place in Mexico and Chile. Moreover, we have made one bet on the Mubadala World Tennis Championship plays. In December we placed only 5 bets, of which 4 (80%) were correct. Given a constant bet, this is equivalent to a decrease of 0.1 times the bet amount.
November 2011
November is the last month of the annual ATP World Tour season, and there are few events going on during this month, yet all of them are extremely high-profile. Naturally, we are speaking about the BNP Paribas Masters ATP1000 championship in Paris, the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals in London, and the Davis Cup World Group Final which took place in Seville. We closely followed all of the above, yet participated in betting on the former two, since the Davis Cup Final did not offer sufficiently stable opportunities due to a very strong player composition. We are proud to have gone through the entire World Tour Finals without a single loss, having chosen Federer as the prospective winner already in the first part of the event. We have also bet on several challenger-class events, which will be our primary focus during the upcoming month. In November we placed a total of 27 bets, of which 18 (66%) were correct (most of them in the second part of the month, when we decided to return to the low-odds, low-risk strategy), and one match was cancelled. Given a constant bet, this is equivalent to a decrease of 3.5 times the bet amount.
October 2011
The month was rich on high-caliber tennis events, among which are foremost the Shanghai Rolex Masters ATP1000 championship, the China Open, the Rakunten Japan Open, and the Valencia Open, all ATP500 class events. Andy Murray won the former, earning his third ATP-class title in Asia over three consecutive weeks (and bringing us some profit). Other worthy events this month included the If Stockholm Open, the Kremlin Cup (Moscow), the St.-Petersburg Open, and the Erste Open (Vienna). In terms of profitability it has been a rough ride for us, whereby numerous low-probability defeats of high-ranked and experienced players (Nadal, Fish, Tipsarevic, and others) have led to October becoming the third month in our history with negative overall performance. During October we have placed 24 bets, of which 14 (78%) turned out to be successful, and two games were cancelled. Given a constant bet, this is equivalent to a decrease of 6.1 times the bet amount.
September 2011
The beginning of the month was marked by the final tiers of the US Open, which we are pround to have passed without losing any of the nine bets we made during the event. Davis Cup semifinals followed next, with a relatively challenging offering since most of the participating players were of high caliber and very motivated to win. In the second half of September we also placed bets on four ATP250 events: Moselle Open in Metz, France, BRD Nastase Tiriac Trophy in Bucharest, Romania, PTT Thailand Open in Bangkok, and Malaysian Open 2011 in Kuala Lumpur. This month we made a total of 28 bets, of which 22 (78%) turned out to be successful, and four games were cancelled. Given a constant bet, this is equivalent to increasing the deposit by 1.0 times the individual bet amount.
August 2011
Naturally, two tennis events held our attention during the month of August: the Western & Southern Open in Cincinnati and the US Open in Flushing, N.Y. From their humble beginnings in the end of the 19th century, these tournaments have grown into world-class spectaculars with combined audience of over a million live viewers. We were placing bets during the first circles of the Western & Southern Open, and are now seeing solid returns from the opportunities offered by the Grand Slam event. This month we made a total of 37 bets, of which 32 (86%) turned out to be successful, and two games were cancelled. Given a constant bet, this is equivalent to increasing the deposit by 6.8 times the individual bet amount.
July 2011
This month was marked by the last tournaments of Wimbledon and the Mercedes Cup in Stuttgart. Djokovic received a hero’s welcome in Belgrade for winning the tennis championship with the oldest tradition in the world, and this year’s Stuttgart cup winner Ferrero drove home in a classy… no, not Ferrary – Mercedes of course, countinuing the dominance of Spaniards and Argentines on this event. During July we made a total of 37 bets, out of which 30 (81%) were correct and one game was cancelled. Given a constant bet, this is equivalent to earning 2.4 times the bet.
June 2011
The beginning of the month was marked by the conclusion of the Grand Slam in Paris, with a hot fight between Nadal and Federer in the finals. We also bet on the Gerry Weber Open in Halle, and the UNICEF Open in ‘s-Hertogenbosch – the “warm-ups” on the grass surface before Wimbledon, which took over everybody’s attention for the second part of the month. The 125th edition of Wimbledon offered many spectacular matches – and provided a rich soil for placing profitable bets. During the month of June TennisBettingPro has made a total of 93 bets, out of which 78 (84%) were correct and three games were cancelled. Given a constant betting amount, this is equivalent to earning 6.8 times the bet.
May 2011
This month we followed the Internazionali BNL d’Italia cup in Rome, the Mutua Madrileсa Madrid Open, and of course Roland Garros in Paris. Interestingly, Novak Djokovic has won both the first and the second, against Rafael Nadal in the finals, and is poised to meet him again in the top rounds of the Frech Grand Slam. We will see what they’ve got in store for their fans in the beginning of June. In May we placed a total of 92 bets, out of which 74 (80%) were correct, and two matches were cancelled. Given a constant bet, this is equivalent to earning 2.2 times the bet.
April 2011
What a month! In April we placed bets on a number of tournaments, including the U.S. Men’s Clay Court Championships in Houston, the Monte Carlo Masters series, the Open Banco Sabadell in Barcelona, and the BMW Open in Munich. The most exciting part was probably the Monte Carlo event, where Nadal won his seventh successive title there – an Open Era record! This added to his staggering personal 39-1 track record – and brought us a couple of very solid bet wins for April. Rafael Nadal also took home the Barcelona Tournament cup, the oldest Spanish tennis trophy which celebrated its 59th edition this year. The number of April’s bets reached 81, out of which 63 (78%) were right, while three matches were cancelled. This is equivalent to earning 2.6 times the original bet, given a constant sum under risk.
March 2011
This month was marked by two significant tennis events, both of the ATP Masters 1000 level, and both taking place in the U.S.: BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells and Sony Ericsson Open in Miami. Both tournaments are poised to reach record attendance levels, going well into 300 thousand spectators. Djokovic won the first event in a magnificent fight against Nadal, and will probably meet him again in the finals of the Sony Ericsson Open in the beginning of April. In the month of March we placed a total of 68, of which 51 (78%) were right, and a whole 5 were cancelled. This is equivalent to earning 1.2 times the original bet, assuming that all bets are of the same amount.
